Norwegian Airlines is offering roundtrip flights from Baltimore to either Guadeloupe or Martinique for as little as $198 for travel between November and March. The last time Norwegian Air offered these deals, tickets sold out very quickly, so act fast to take advantage of this great deal.

Norwegian includes all taxes and surcharges, but there are additional costs for bags, assigned seating and other optional services. Unless a bathing suit is all that you’ll be packing, it makes sense to choose the LowFare+ option at $24 to make a seat reservation and check a bag up to 44 lbs.

Once you have found your round-trip flights to both Martinique and Guadeloupe for as low as $198 November 2016 – March 2017, choose a lodging option to fit the needs of you and your travel buddies.

 Where to Stay in Martinique:

On Martinique, the accommodations range from tiny inns called relais creoles to upscale tourist resorts – some all-inclusive – and restored plantation houses. As there are only a few deluxe properties on the island, hotels that have lower star ratings are packed with charisma, hospitality, and French style.

South of Fort-de-France includes Cap Est Lagoon Resort & Spa, which is Martinique’s most exclusive resort attracting European royalty and other well-heeled clientele. On a beguiling, green crystalline lagoon, all villas have water views. Located at Pointe du Bout, Hotel Bakoua is just 20 minutes from the airport and boasts lovely beaches, shops, marinas, restaurants, casinos, and 132 bedrooms and 6 suites. All rooms have a balcony or a patio, and those in the original residence are the largest and have the most charisma and charm.

 Where to Stay in Guadeloupe

On Guadeloupe, your options range from fine hotels to small relais (inn) if what you want is a more authentic island experience.

One of our favorite hotel choices is La Cocoteraie on Grande-Terre. It’s a classy boutique hotel that attracts an international clientele, and where oversized suites have two bathrooms with a tub that overlooks the sea or their manicured gardens. While there treat yourself to a gastronomic experience at the La Varangue located in the hotel. There is a neighboring Robert Trent Jones golf course where you can tee off with a view of the Caribbean.

Another fine hotel on Grande-Terre is the Auberge de la Vieille Tour. This hotel is a classic. Fashioned around a 200-year-old sugar mill, it has a welcoming Gallic personality. Guests gather in the bar to relax in planters’ chairs under whirling fans while tapas are served. The restaurant is unquestionably one of the island’s finest. Still another option is La Toubana Hotel and Spa in lles des Saintes where you’ll get a four star experience with a kitchenette in each of their 46 well- appointed rooms and each have a private furnished lanai. While there you can pamper yourself in their onsite spa or just sit by their glorious pool.
