My colleague Christine spent much of last year attending her friends’ weddings – and the locations were scattered across the U.S., with one outside of the country. Adding to her frequent flights, she also had a family reunion in Georgia and many trips to her parents’ home in Providence, RI. She knew that every destination was to a city that Southwest flies so she made the decision to carry the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier Card.
Spring break is rapidly approaching and there’s nothing better than planning a late winter beach vacation to Nassau, Bahamas or better yet, Atlantis on Paradise Island. American Airlines is currently offering incredible deals on flights from Baltimore (BWI) to Nassau, Bahamas airport (NAS).
Over the past few weeks, I received a notice that my AARP membership is up for renewal. I decided to Google their website to try to determine its real value for me. As I scrolled through the introductory headlines, I came across the index that identified an entire section on health issues. It includes articles about brain health, aging conditions and treatments, healthy living, health essentials, and even legal issues pertaining to health.
Last weekend while I was grabbing a quick bite at the airport and waiting for my Southwest flight, I met a gentleman who was traveling for business. As we were standing in line at the food kiosk, we began to chat about where we were both headed and why. It was an enjoyable exchange that led to our sharing a table while eating our meals.
A friend asked if I could help her choose a credit card that rewards her for all the purchases she makes every month. I just had to laugh when she confessed that currently, the only return she gets for her spending is a good argument with her husband every time the credit card statement arrives.
Last weekend, I was traveling with my daughter and husband from Providence, RI to Baltimore, MD, returning from a long-overdue weekend getaway. We reached the airport in ample time, so our check-in experience was smooth sailing. My family and I have been frequent flyers on Southwest, so my confidence in this company is very high. However, the weather was tumultuous, with threatening storm conditions in Baltimore, and I wasn’t really looking forward to the trip home.
